Attach the members of your family to your account so you can book in their name, then remove them when you no longer book for them.
"My family" is the page in your space where you attach the people you book appointments for: a child, a spouse, a parent, or anyone else whose appointments you manage. As soon as one family member is attached, booking asks you one more question, the one about who the appointment is for, and the appointment goes in the name you point to.
You open the page from the "My family" tab in your space, between "Appointments" and "Notifications". Its direct address is /patient/dependents. It holds two blocks: the list of the people already attached, then the form that adds another one.
A family member has no noresia account. There is no email address for them to confirm, no password, no space of their own. Your account carries everything: you book for them from your own space, and you alone decide who stays attached.
Attaching serves one purpose: naming the right person at the moment you book. It opens no medical file and gives you nothing of what the clinic keeps on its side. That point is covered in where your medical documents are.
Open the My family tab
The tab sits in the bar of your space. The page opens on the "Family members attached" list, empty at first.
Open the add form
The "Add a family member" button sits at the top of the page, beside the title. The form stays folded until you ask for it: it opens at the bottom of the page and the screen travels there on its own.
Write the first name
It is the only required field. A first name alone is enough to create the row, and you fill the rest in when you have it to hand.
Fill in the last name, the birth date and the relationship
The last name is optional when they share yours. The date of birth helps the clinic find the right record. The relationship is chosen from a list of four entries.
Add the family member
Press "Add". The row joins the list above, the message "Family member added." appears and the form closes. The relationship you just chose stays offered for the next person.
| Field | What it expects |
|---|---|
| First name | Required. 100 characters at most. |
| Last name | Optional when they share your last name. 100 characters at most. |
| Date of birth | Optional. A real date, between 1900 and today. |
| Relationship | One entry among "Child", "Spouse", "Parent" and "Other". |
The calendar offers no date later than today. When a date typed by hand falls outside that range, what is expected appears under the field, and the row is not saved until the date is picked up again.
The list is headed "Family members attached" and carries its count at the top, for example "3 people". Each row gathers the initial of the first name, the full name, the relationship followed by the age, then the date of birth announced by "Born". Details you did not fill in leave no blank: their line simply does not appear.
While nobody is attached, the page shows "No family member registered" and invites you to add one. Past 10 family members, the list paginates and a navigation appears under the last row.
A record already saved cannot be edited. There is no edit screen: a first name to write again, a date of birth to review or a relationship to change are all corrected by removing the row, then adding it back with the right details.
Appointments already booked do not move while you do that. They stay recorded with the clinic and in your space, at the date and time planned.
Open the menu on the row
The "Actions" button sits at the end of the row of the person concerned.
Choose Remove
A confirmation window names the person and recalls that you will not be able to book for them until they are added back.
Confirm the removal
The row leaves the list and the message "Family member removed." appears. You can attach the same person later, by going through the form again.
When at least one family member is attached, the booking journey adds a step between the choice of time and the confirmation. The register of steps then shows "Who for", and the screen asks who the appointment is for.
Your own name is offered first, then each of your family members in the order of the list. A single press takes you to the summary. With nobody attached, the question never comes up and the appointment goes in your name.
The name you pick is then written into the summary, on the "Who for" line, and onto the confirmation screen. That is your last read-back before the time is really booked. The whole journey is described in book an appointment, and booking in a family member's name in book for a family member.
An appointment booked for a family member is still an appointment on your account. Three consequences are worth knowing before you attach a whole family.
The limit of 12 appointments in progress covers everything your account has booked, across every clinic and every person together. Cancellations and absences are also followed at account level, whoever the appointment was for, and a temporary pause on booking then stops you booking for your family members just as it stops you booking for yourself. The detail is in absences and limits.
Confirmations, reminders and cancellation notices all go to the email address on your account. Since a family member has no address of their own, no message reaches them directly. You choose what you receive from manage your notifications.
Finally, your appointment list does not state who each appointment was booked for. It shows the clinic, the practitioner, the service, the date and the state of the appointment. The name of the person concerned appears at booking time, in the summary and on the confirmation screen. If you follow several people, keep the date in mind: it is what lets you tell them apart in follow your appointments.
