Register a child, a spouse or a parent, then pick their name while you book: the same steps, one extra question, and the appointment carries their name.
You can book in the name of someone in your family: a child, a spouse, a parent or anyone else whose appointments you manage. The journey stays the same, with one extra step that asks who the appointment is for.
The step that asks who the appointment is for only appears once your account holds at least one family member. While your list is empty, booking goes straight from the time to the summary, and everything you book is registered in your own name.
Open "My family" in your space, then "Add a family member". The first name is the only required field; the last name, the date of birth and the relationship help the clinic find the right record. Each field is described in managing your family members.
Book as you usually would
Choose the service, the practitioner and then the time, exactly as you would for an appointment in your own name. The whole journey is described in booking an appointment.
Answer the question about who the appointment is for
The step opens right after the time. It shows "Me" at the top of the list, then the name of each of your family members. One appointment covers one person at a time.
Read the Who for line of the summary
The summary gathers the service, the time, the practitioner, the price and the person concerned. The "Who for" line carries the name you picked.
Confirm the appointment
Tick the processing authorisation, then "Confirm the appointment". The confirmation shows the same name on the same line.
The clinic sees the appointment in the family member's name, with the service and the time you chose. That name is what appears on its schedule on the day of the visit.
Your contact details stay those of the account. The confirmation and the reminders reach your email address, even when the appointment concerns someone else. What that message holds is detailed in the appointment confirmation.
Everything you book, for yourself or for a family member, lives in the same list and counts towards the same limits.
