Public health

noresia and public health.

noresia wants to put its platform at the service of public health in Algeria, to help detect health crises early and to support the authorities who decide.

Why we are committed

The first signs of a crisis appear in clinics.

An epidemic taking hold, a medicine running short, a ward filling up: clinics and hospitals often see it before anyone else.

Those signs only matter if they reach the people who decide, quickly and reliably. That is the link we want to help build.

What we want to bring

Three aims, in service of the health authorities.

01

Early detection of unusual signals

We want to help spot what is out of the ordinary as early as possible, in a single wilaya or across the country.

02

Alerts verified before they are sent

We are working so that no alert goes out before it has been verified. A false alert costs the trust of those who must act.

03

Visibility on critical resources

We want to give visibility on what matters in a crisis: intensive care beds, oxygen and essential medicines.

Our principles

The health authorities decide. noresia detects and alerts.

Personal data protected by law

Personal data is protected under law no. 18-07 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data, as amended.

Pseudonymised and aggregated data

Public-health uses rest on pseudonymised and aggregated data. Any re-identification happens only under a legal procedure, by an authorised body.

Data sovereignty

The data of a public-health system must stay in Algeria, under the control of the State.

No decision taken by artificial intelligence

No artificial intelligence takes a decision. Every decision rests with authorised people.

For clinics

What this means for your clinic.

  • Today, your clinic's data serves only your patients' appointments.
  • Any participation of your clinic in a public-health system would happen only within a legal framework, and your clinic would be informed.
  • Your clinic's medical data is never sold.
