Turning on the alerts your browser shows even outside noresia, answering its permission request, and withdrawing it later.
Push notifications are the alerts your browser shows on this device even when noresia is closed: an appointment confirmed, a reminder before the visit, a cancellation coming from the clinic. They stay off until you ask for them, and switching them on takes two agreements: yours inside your space, and the browser's right after.
The « Push notifications » switch sits in the « Notifications » tab, the fourth tab of your space, inside the « Notification channels » section placed under the feed. Its own note says it in one line: « An alert on this device, even with the app closed. »
Turning that switch on saves a preference on your account. A preference on its own shows nothing though: the browser also has to allow this site to place alerts on this device. That question is asked by the browser, and you alone answer it. noresia cannot get around it and cannot answer in your place.
Open the « Notifications » tab
The page opens on the feed of your notifications, grouped under « Today », « This week » and « Earlier ».
Go down to « Notification channels »
The section sits under the feed. It carries three lines: « In the app », « Push notifications » and « Email ».
Turn the « Push notifications » switch on
It carries the word « Off » for as long as it is closed.
Answer the browser's request
A small window opens at the top of the screen and asks whether this site may send you notifications. Choose to allow it.
Check that the switch stays on
The word « On » beside the line confirms two things at once: this device is subscribed and the preference is stored. No button is waiting for you, « Your preferences are saved automatically. »
If you refuse, or if you dismiss the browser's window without answering, the switch returns to « Off » on its own and the reason appears under the line. Nothing is saved along the way: your account stays exactly as it was.
Once you have refused, the browser stops asking. Turning the switch on is no longer enough: it falls straight back, and the message under the line hands you the way through, « Notifications are blocked for this site. Allow them in the browser settings, the padlock icon, the Notifications section, then try again. »
Open the site settings
Press the padlock icon, placed beside the address at the top of the window.
Find the « Notifications » section
It lists what this site is allowed to do on this device.
Put the permission back on « Allow »
Several browsers ask you to reload the page afterwards.
Come back and turn the switch on
The « Push notifications » line accepts this time, and this device's subscription is created.
Two moves cut the alerts, and they do not cut the same thing.

The preference belongs to your account, the permission belongs to one browser. That is why turning the switch off from your phone also silences the alerts on your computer, while blocking the site in one browser leaves your other devices alone.
When the subscription cannot be created, the switch falls back to « Off » and the line tells you why. Three situations come up:
No notification is lost in any of these cases: every event is written into the feed of the « Notifications » page, which you can read back whenever you want.
