From your profile, set or change your password, then sign the other devices out.
Your password changes from your own space, with no email to wait for. Once you are signed in to your space, open the « Profile » tab: the « Security » section on that page sets a password when your account has none yet, and replaces the one you already have.
The « Profile » tab opens your account. The page reads as three sections announced by the « Register » index: « Your details », « Security » and « Two-factor authentication ». The password is handled in « Security », and nothing else on the page touches it.
The other sections have their own guide: your name, your phone number and your email address are edited in updating your profile.
Open the « Security » section
It shows two fields when your account already has a password: « Current password » and « New password ».
Enter your current password
It is the one you just signed in with. It proves the request comes from you, and it is stored nowhere.
Choose a new password
It needs at least 12 characters. A meter fills as you type and announces what is still missing, for instance « 3 characters to go ». The « Show the password » button lets you read back what you typed before confirming.
Confirm the change
The « Change the password » button closes the operation. The message « Password changed. » tells you the new password is saved and in force.
The « Security » section then shows a single field, « New password », and the confirm button reads « Set a password ». The 12-character rule is the same, and the confirmation message becomes « Password set. »
| What happens | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Your current session | It stays open, you carry on without signing in again |
| Your other sessions | They close, every device will ask for the new password |
| Your appointments and family members | Nothing changes, no booking is touched |
| Two-factor authentication | It stays exactly as you left it |
If two-factor authentication is on, the verification code from your app is still asked for at every sign-in, with the old password as with the new one. Setting it up is described in protecting your account.
The « Sign out the other devices » button sits beside the confirm button of the « Security » section. It closes every session except the one you are using, and changes nothing about your password. The message « Other devices signed out. » confirms the other sessions are closed.
It is the right move when you stayed signed in on a borrowed phone or on a shared computer. To learn how long a session stays valid, read managing your sessions.
The « Security » section asks for the current password before it accepts a new one. When the one you type does not match your account, the page tells you under the field and nothing is saved: your old password stays in force.
Without that password, the way through is the reset link sent to your email address, described in forgotten password. That link travels to your account's address, so keep it current and confirmed: the steps are in verifying your email address.
